OK, so there was some talk after choir rehearsal last night about some Rhonisms........
I think someone was wanting to start a list, so I will just go ahead and start it, please feel free to leave a comment if you have some to add (keep it clean LOL)...... So my choir pet peeve would be to not connect words ending in "S" to the next word so you get this sound that sounds like a tire losing air pressure. Well I know I harp on it all the time, but it's funny I have been saying it for 4 years now and I still have to remind people every week in rehearsal.... 2. How many vocal chords do we have..... I actually found out most of my choir had no idea. Well after letting them know, we have "2", I have begun to help them "tune" their vocal chords like strings on a guitar, so that they can hear the pitch first and then create it with their chords and hear if they are on the correct pitch or not..... so I will be listening. TUNE UP! I am so sure there are many more and you will now have a chance to add to the list.

Today I had my last epidural steroid shot. Most of you know I was in a very bad automobile wreck in 06. I broke my neck and had to have surgery to put a rod in my neck. It is a privilege to even be walking around and for that I am a blessed man. A few months ago I was having some back trouble and thought I had hurt my knee exercising one morning but after a trip to the doctor, I found out I have a bulging disc in my lower back and they wanted for me to have a series of epidural steroids. I have finished those now, and time will only tell if they will relieve the pain or if something else will have to be done.
As I have thought about how I felt it was my knee, but it was my back I am reminded that most of the time in our life, we think we know the problem, but it's the Father who really knows what is going on and what the real problem is. Most of the time in my life, I want to fix the problems sin causes in my life rather than fixing the sin. God will show you, you as our pastor frequently says God show me, me. He will do it, we just have to be willing to see the real us sometimes. God is good and He is wanting us to ask for his help. I pray you will allow God to show you, you! Now that Christmas is over, the EBC worship ministry team has another incredible challenge in front of them. We are going to be hosting a night of worship and praise with worship leader, Travis Cottrell. This weeks choir rehearsal will be full of some wonderful new songs, some great rebirths of some older familiar songs, and some powerful songs of songs of proclamation. If you happen to read this blog and have ever thought about joining the EBC choir, now is one of the best times. Come be our guest at a rehearsal. We actually have two identical rehearsals on Wednesday night. 6:30 is first choir rehearsal and 7:50 is the second choir rehearsal. Take your choice and come be a part of a wonderful group of sold out musicians and Christ followers.
