OK, so there was some talk after choir rehearsal last night about some Rhonisms........
I think someone was wanting to start a list, so I will just go ahead and start it, please feel free to leave a comment if you have some to add (keep it clean LOL)...... So my choir pet peeve would be to not connect words ending in "S" to the next word so you get this sound that sounds like a tire losing air pressure. Well I know I harp on it all the time, but it's funny I have been saying it for 4 years now and I still have to remind people every week in rehearsal.... 2. How many vocal chords do we have..... I actually found out most of my choir had no idea. Well after letting them know, we have "2", I have begun to help them "tune" their vocal chords like strings on a guitar, so that they can hear the pitch first and then create it with their chords and hear if they are on the correct pitch or not..... so I will be listening. TUNE UP! I am so sure there are many more and you will now have a chance to add to the list.

![]() EBC Choir Challenge 2009. This past Thursday night, the EBC Worship Choir sang for Choirfest which is an associational choir event. All churches are invited to bring their choir to sing 2 songs for all the other choir members from other churches. We had 14 choirs participate this year, it was a wonderful glorious night of praise and worship. EBC had 110 people singing in the choir, so I have made a challenge to all our choir members...... We begin our Fall Revival services with Dr. Wayne Robertson on Sunday night, September 13th. If everyone will sing who sang Thursday night plus the 12 or so who were providentially hindered, we could possibly sing with more that 120 in the choir. I am challenging the whole choir to be present Sunday night! |
