One Year...... at the GBMB

As I sit here today, I reflect over the past twelve months. One year ago, I started on my journey with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board to lead in the area of Worship and Music. I feel honored and blessed to serve on the Church Strengthening team to walk beside over 3500 Baptist Worship and Music leaders in Georgia. My desire is to connect worship and music leaders all over our state for encouragement, growth and support as they accomplish their God-given mission in the local church.
Ten lessons the Lord has reminded me of on this journey.
1. Stay close to your family.
2. God has a plan, trust it.
3. Transitions are challenging.
4. People need inspiration, not information.
5. Young Worship Leaders need older, Godly examples.
6. Worship and Music is vitally important in the life of a church.
7. Parents need to encourage their children’s musical skillsets.
8. My ministry in one word is “connect”.
9. I only thought I had driven most roads in Georgia .
10. We can accomplish more together than by ourselves.
